Can we have some more content other than that's already there in the aagneya site? Some info about how the idea was formed, what are the efforts behind it and all? It'll help the random reader understand more about WHY you're conducting this fest, rather than making it a run of the mill event!

All the best!

The best and safest thing is to keep a balance in your life, acknowledge the great powers around us and in us. If you can do that, and live that way, you are really a wise man.

Conflict is inevitable in a team ... in fact, to achieve synergistic solutions, a variety of ideas and approaches are needed. These are the ingredients for conflict. Synergy is the highest activity of life; it creates new untapped alternatives; it values and exploits the mental, emotional, and psychological differences between people.Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, working togethers is success

If there is any responsibility in the cycle of life it must be that one generation owes to the next that strength by which it can come to face ultimate concerns in its own way.Our real problem, then, is not our strength today; it is rather the vital necessity of action today to ensure our strength tomorrow. You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, "I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along." . . . You must do the thing you think you cannot do. Our duty as men is to proceed as if limits to our ability did not exist. We are collaborators in creation.

The need for fest-
We are doing this fest for the laymen of the country, for the common man who pins the only hope on government education at reasonable fees.
We may not have hightech fascilities to show in the college, but what we have is shera quality..
The question is reasonable if you ask why IITs and NITs come up with sucha fest with budget touching the 7 digit figure.....
But why a government college is trying hard to come up with such a fest is coz we have private coleges in the state come up with fest with full backing of the management to make literally extravaganza in every sense and create a profile in front of public and in front of corporates,
so we are coming up with a fest with nothing but hardwork as investment.......
we are doing it for future of India

Do you really think that conducting an inter college cultural fest will help a poor Indian earn a meal? Inter college fests are conducted just to make sure you also join the crowd and waste time, money and energy just to create an "image". Seriously, its more than enough. In another month, we will have at least 2 inter college fests every week. The same stuff. The same star nites. The same technical fests. The same songs. The same dances. Get done with it. Do something new. Nothing against Aagneya or GECB. Just wanted to tell this somewhere. There are many other options where you can prove your team spirit not just by organising an inter college fests. IITs and NITs have 7 digit budgets. Does that mean a 6 digit budget is very small?

fest...???????
most of the students don't have contacts with the batch mates and other students. Fest helps to improve the personal relations and contacts of the students. Otherwise that will be a college life without familiarity. I got many new friends through this fest, which may not be never happen...It doesn't matter the fest is a success of failure...suffer for an aim...work for the common goal...work without expecting personal gains...
Aagneya makes it happen...

Alright.......So you guys are conducting this fest to improve the quality of indian students and thereby standard of our living.I am sorry friend i cannot agree with you.How events like choreo video ,fashion show are going to improve the quality of indian students? Also its gonna have a negative impact. You guys are merely imitating western world. This is nothing but sheer "westernisation"

1.How it will help an Indian earn meal?????
As a said this fest is with the intention of raising the profile of a college for common man,and this is one of the few colleges where a common man can afford to send his child to get high quality education,so by raising the profile of the college the students of college will be benifited,

2. About Wasting Time and Money
If we waste our time and money but if the benifits we can reap from it,which includes
a.helping the students work as a group
b.teaching them basics of how life in reality can be,by dealing with people of every kind, letting them understand that life is not a bed of roses, letting them know that world is not a beautiful place to live in.Once having worked here they will be succesfull in leading the life outside the campus,
c.This will help them to improve managerial skills, time management, human resources,finacing.......and every possible skill.
Inshort working here will be better than studying in Stamford University for MBA.

Who said we are like the rest of college.
In which all colleges will you see Virtual stock exchange ,Best Engineer or Ultimate Challenge?
tell me......what makes our fest diffrent from the rest is in innovativeness of programs on display....

plz dont tell me 7 lakhs and 1 crore are comparable......

Hmmm...You are not getting the right point. I am not speaking about government and self financing crap. Will anyone prefer to send their child to a college which conducted a good inter college fest? No. Again, to get admission into GECB or any other college for that matter, you need to get a decent rank or have some sorta reservation. And a child from a government school (where a poor man's child studies) has a very slim chance to get a good rank. There are exceptions, but again, its the children who come from well off families that perform better because of the coaching and stuff.

Secondly, team work. Is this the only way people can learn how to work in a team? If so, its a pity.

Seven lakhs and one crore. The difference is huge. I agree. But that is not what I told. Give 7 lakhs to a farmer and you will see what I mean. Life is not a bed of roses. Its difficult, but it all depends on the way you look at things. And speaking about real life. Kerala University degree helps you get a job in some IT company. Nothing more. Very few people study to get knowledge. The majority study, just because they are forced to. So, we need to look at things from another angle too.

Will some one send the child to a college ,beacause they conduct good fest???????
Did I at any point make such a comment that it is for such an intention. Those who are serious about the future of their child will surely send their children to a good college as ours.
Our intention is to raise the profile of college in front of general public. We dont want any one asking a student of our college where in earth is our college.

If you pity me.......Tell me a better way how a student can learn about finace, time management,HR,stress situations, team work.......and this has no syllabus to work with,we learn from experience.
